WalletConnect is an open source protocol for connecting decentralized applications to cryptocurrency wallets with QR code scanning or deep linking.[1][2]
History
WalletConnect was launched in March 2018. In September 2018, WalletConnect entered Consensys tech accelerator Tachyon.[3]
In November 2021, Discord planned to initiate WalletConnect integration,[4] but abandoned the integration plan following backlash from anti-crypto users.[5]
