Boursorama is a French financial technology company that offers banking services. The company is a subsidiary of Société Générale and headquartered in Boulogne-Billancourt, close to Paris.[1] It offers accounts featuring currency exchange, debit cards, virtual cards, Apple Pay, commission-free stock trading and other services.[2]

History

Boursorama was founded in 1998 by Patrice Legrand and Stéphane Mathieu.[3]

Following several takeovers and mergers, notably with Fimatex in 2002,[4] Boursorama diversified into brokerage and online banking, resulting in the creation of the current Boursorama Banque.[5]

In 2022, Boursorama is the biggest neobank in France.[6][7] In April 2022, Boursorama bought ING France.[8][9]

Products and services

Since its creation, the website Boursorama.com site has been the French leader in online stock market information, aimed at both individual and professionals investors. Initially specialized in this activity, Boursorama.com then diversified into political and general information with an economical focus.[10]
