Behindthescenegram also known as BTSGRAM[1] is an online music, video and filmmaking publicity brand based in Nigeria. It was founded by Akhabue Evans Ebalu who is passionate in creating a diverse image of what Africa really possesses[2]. It is a platform that showcases the process of film making around the world, inspiring film making enthusiasts & 'Newbies', showing them what's obtainable in practical filmmaking. This platform has served as a source of learning for filmmakers[3]. Behindthescenegram started out as an Instagram account that has now grown to over 360,000 followers and counting.[3]

History

Behindthescenegram started in 2018 as an Instagram channel. Upon wide recognition & acceptance by the filmmaking communities around the world, BTS-GRAM[2] also known as Behindthescenegram launched its website. Behindthescenegram, is influential in media publicity and marketing, cinematic Sound Effects and product reviews for companies like Feiyiu tech FY, Hollyland Technology, 3d lut creator, Teffest by omotola Jalade,[4] Gvm led, Insta360, Gudsenmoza,[1] ZHIYUN_Tech (Guilin Zhishen Information Technology Co., Ltd), Zhangzhou Seetec Optoelectronic Technology Co. Ltd[3].

Behindthescenegram areas of expertise are; Visual Effect (VFX) Breakdown, On Location Behind The Scenes (BTS), Sound Design Process, Film Gears Review & Filmmaking Tutorials.[3]

Notable achievements

During the COVID-19 lockdown era, Behindthescenegram gave away free film making equipment to encourage creators to make productions that would inspire and change their perspective of the Stay-at-home order. These items where distributed across different continents to the winners of the equipment. Behindthescenefram (BTSGRAM) CEO, Akhabue Ebalu Evans promptly got a recommendation and brand ambassadorship[1] from Shenzhen HollyLand Technology for carrying out such kind gestures. The give-aways occurred from the 13th of April 2020 to 20th April 2020.

Equipment given away during the period includes 4k cameras, Studio lights, Wireless Video Transmitters, Video monitors, Video Editing Controllers, Sliders, Microphones, Camera Lenses, Industry Standard Editing software and Gimbal Stabilizers. Behindthescenegram also organised Live training sections on filmmaking completely free for all[3].
