Zoramia gilberti is a Cardinalfish from the Western Central Pacific. It occasionally makes its way into the aquarium trade. It grows to a size of 4.2 cm in length.[1] It is found in sheltered bays and lagoons, where it gathers in large aggregations among branching corals, frequently mixed with other cardinalfish species.[2] The specific name honours the United States ichthyologist and fisheries biologist Charles H. Gilbert (1859-1928) of Stanford University who was a colleague of Jordan's.[3]
