4NEW is a waste to energy conversion company which can be transacted over the blockchain network.[1] The company received a funding of $30 million in a private equity institutional investment round from Mirach Capital.
Founded by Varun Datta, a UK based Indian entrepreneur, the company has two plants in Middlesbrough and Hartlepool in the U.K.[2] The company has released its own coin KWATT, which is backed by One Kilowatt of electricity.[3][4]
