Godwin Gabriel - CEO Moovn Technologies

Godwin Ndugulile Gabriel (born November 22, 1975) is a Tanzanian born Founder and Chief Executive of Moovn Technologies - a Seattle-based technology startup that offers rideshare services similar to Uber and Lyft.[1][2][3]

Godwin Gabriel founded Moovn in 2015 which he has since expanded the company's operations into several major cities across the United States,Tanzania, Kenya and Zambia. [4][5]

Early Life

Godwin Gabriel gained his entrepreneurial skills at an early age. At age 17, he closed the biggest deal in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, supplying food and beverages to a five-star luxury hotel.[6]

Godwin immigrated to the United States to pursue a childhood dream of becoming an airline pilot.[6]

Education

Godwin Gabriel earned his Undergraduate Degree in Political Science - Law Track from Seattle University. [1][7] He later attended the University of Washington Foster School of Business where he graduated in 2014 with a Global Executive MBA Degree.[1][7] His entrepreneurial journey with Moovn was featured by the University of Washington Alumni Association March 2019 Online Magazine.[3]

Professional Career

Godwin Gabriel's childhood ambitions of becoming an airline pilot were cut short after American Airlines discontinued a junior flight training program that he was enrolled in due to the aftermath of the September 1th attacks.[6] He pivoted careers and became an Asset Manager responsible for a portfolio of luxury hotels for Marriott and Starwood Hospitality brands.[1][6]
