The white-tailed jay (Cyanocorax mystacalis) is a species of bird in the family Corvidae. It is found in Ecuador and Peru. Its natural habitats are subtropical or tropical dry forest and subtropical or tropical moist lowland forest.

It exhibits no sexual dimorphism.[2]

It eats beetles, ants, and other insects.[3][4] It forages for them in the open[3][4] at lower strata of vegetation.[5]

with a vocal repetitive hollow call.[3][4]
