Mammillaria geminispina, the twin spined cactus, is a species of flowering plant in the family Cactaceae, native to central Mexico.
Description
This plant is variable, but most clump though some are solitary. This plant has long white spines at the end of the conical tubercles that distinguish Mammillarias. Between these tubercles is white wool. [1]
Flowers
Carmine pink flowers are borne in a crown shape around the head that is blooming in summer and autumn[2]
Cultivation
Mammillaria geminispina is one of several Mammillaria species to be cultivated.[3] It has gained the Royal Horticultural Society's Award of Garden Merit.[4][5]
