Lumbrineridae is a family of polychaetes belonging to the order Eunicida.[1] Lumbrineridae are species that are from Japan and can be also found at the Gulf of Mexico.[2]

History

Lumbrineridae had a worldwide distribution of its species[3]their habitat is mainly on swallow waters but occurs down on abyssal depts. Lumbrineris flabellicola is unusual in forming grooves and membranous tubes in various ahermatypic corals.[3] Their habitat are more common in temperature and tropical regions but majority of it lives in burrowers in mud and sand, although some of it lives on rocky bottoms and in algal holdfasts.[4] According to few observations, Lumbrineridae diets include carnivory on various invertebrates and questionably herbivory.[5] Selective deposit feeding was described for ninoe nigripes[6] and lumbrineris cf. latreilli[7] Its population biology is unknown.[4]
