ContactEngine is a SaaS platform that automates the communication between organizations and their customers. ContactEngine was founded in 2009 and is privately owned.

ContactEngine communicates through a variety of communication channels and makes its technology available via Software as a Service (SaaS).

History

2010: Virgin Media[7] becomes ContactEngine's first corporate client, followed by HomeServe. Boris Johnson became one of the first celebrity users.[citation needed]

2014: Official name change from ipadio to ContactEngine

2015: Whirlpool Corporation and Sky UK become corporate clients

2017: ContactEngine incorporates in the United States and opens offices in Washington, D.C. Verizon becomes ContactEngine's first American corporate client

2018: ContactEngine becomes ISO 27001 certified (SOC 2) [8]

2019: ContactEngine opens offices at Bletchley Park. TELUS becomes ContactEngine's first Canadian corporate client

Funding

Funding ContactEngine was incubated by 3rd Sector digital communication specialists Nemisys, a company which ContactEngine's directors also founded. In January 2011, ContactEngine secured a £1m investment from the London Business Angels, the second half of which was accessed in 2013.[9]
