Lysophosphatidylserine is a lysophospholipid which triggers TLR 2.[citation needed] A recent study showed that it does not stimulate normal leukocytes.[1] It also enhances glucose transport, lowering blood glucose levels while leaving secretion of insulin unaffected.[2]
