Aniosgel 85 NPC - 1L "airless" type bottle on distributor

Aniosgel 85 NPC is an alcohol based thixotropic gel for hygienic treatment and surgical disinfection by hand-rubbing. It claims a 30 seconds hygienic hand treatment with 3ml of product and 1.5 minutes (2 applications, 3ml each x 45 seconds each) for surgical hand disinfection by hand rubbing. Aniosgel 85 NPC contains about 70% ethanol as active ingredient, and has no fragrance nor coloring which is reflected in its name NPC (No Perfume Coloring).[1]

Ownership and distribution

Aniosgel 85 NPC is manufactured by the French disinfectant manufacturer Laboratoires ANIOS (Lille-Lezennes, FRANCE).

Composition

Aniosgel 85 NPC contains about 70% ethanol in addition to a number of other agents (moisturizing, emollient, thickening...).

Effectiveness

According to the manufacturer Aniosgel 85 NPC has the following efficacy:[1]
Bacteria: EN 1040, pr EN 12054, EN 1500, EN 12791, MRSA and Acinetobacter baumannii (T 72-300).
Tuberculocis: (EN 14348).
Fungi: EN 1275, EN 1650 (C. albicans).
Viruses: Active against HIV-1, PRV (surrogate of HBV), BVDV (surrogate of HCV), Herpes virus, Rotavirus, Adenovirus, Coronavirus (SARS) and Influenza virus (H5N1), Poliovirus (NF T 72-180/30 sec).
