[1]Abantiades aphenges is a moth of the family Hepialidae,[1] first described in 1904 by Alfred Jefferis Turner as Pielus aphenges.[1][2] The specific epithet, aphenges, means "dark, gloomy".[2] It is endemic to Australia , including New South Wales and Queensland.[1]
