Dunsopterus is a genus of prehistoric eurypterid classified within the family Hibbertopteridae.[1] The genus contains one species, D. stevensoni, from the Carboniferous of Berwickshire, Scotland.[2]

Dunsopterus may be congeneric with Cyrtoctenus. Dunsopterus is known from very fragmentary material, mainly sclerites which have little diagnostic potential and are poorly known in Cyrtoctenus. Both genera are only known from remains of very large individuals.[1]
