A safe contract[1] (Chinese: 安全合约) is a computer protocol intended to digitally facilitate, verify, or enforce the negotiation or performance of a contract. The contracts, different from smart contracts,[2] were first proposed and developed by everiToken,[3] which is a public blockchain platform.[4]

Differing from smart contracts,[7] code of safe contracts is written directly on the blockchain by the everiToken system.[8]
