Halon is a commercial scriptable[4] SMTP server. It's available for Linux as well as a software distribution based on FreeBSD.[2]

The web hosting provider One.com uses Halon[5] which operates some of the most active (on the basis of the number of domains they support) mail servers.[6]

Like Postfix it supports DANE,[7][8] as well as the draft for MTA-STS,[9][10] for encrypted email transfer. It provides other email security features such as spam filtering[11][12] from CYREN,[13] DMARC[14][15][16] and DKIM.[17] Like MailChannels, it supports transparent[18] operation in order to filter spam coming out of servers not administered by the provider.
