IVEPOS Point of Sale is a cloud based restaurant and retail software developed by Intuition Systems. IVEPOS is a retail management and point of sale (POS) system built on the Android operating system. IVEPOS was started as a hobby project by Anand Asaithambi, and Arun Asaithambi in 2013. In early 2016, working prototype was developed before Intuition launched the IVEPOS in the last quarter of 2016. In 2018, cloud based IVEPOS was launched, IVEPOS is used in thousands of restaurants and retail stores across India.[1]

Development

In 2013, Intuition founders Anand Asaithambi and Dr. Arun Asaithambi tried to set up a POS system for their restaurants in Bangalore. They could not find a affordable restaurant management and point of sale (POS) system. This prompted them to put together a mobile Android pos system. After exiting their restaurant business, Intuition Systems was formed to further develop, build and commercialize this android based mPOS billing, payments and business management system called IVEPOS (Intuition Version of Point of Sale) with Anand Asaithambi as its CEO.

In 2016, IVEPOS prototype was tested in the restaurants and retail stores.[2]

In 2017, IVEPOS was launched as an offline product and used by hundreds of restaurants and retail stores.

In 2018, Cloud based product was launched and marketed in Indian market.[3]

In 2019, Intuition Systems signed agreement with major payment enterprise companies like Fiserv, First data, ICICI Merchant Services for partnership, by 2020 IVEPOS is used by thousands of restaurants and retail stores.[4]

Product variants

IVEPOS Dine, QSR, and Waiter are restaurant management and point of sale (POS) software[5]. IVEPOS Retail is a retail management and point of sale (POS) software[6]. The backend can be managed using a mobile device or using web browser in real-time. Associated hardware includes a receipt printer, cash drawer, scanner and card reader.

Recognition

In 2018,Insights success and The CEO Magazine named IVEPOS one of the recommended POS system for retail stores[7][8].In 2019, Silicon India, Finances online and compare camp named IVEPOS one of the best POS systems[9][10].[11]
