Education

Cihoric received his medical education in Southeast Europe, earning a Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree. He later pursued postgraduate training in radiation oncology, completing specialist education in Switzerland.[3]

Career

Cihoric has worked as a radiation oncologist in Switzerland, including roles at Bern University Hospital (Inselspital), where he was involved in patient care, clinical research, and academic collaboration.[4] He is the founder and chief product officer of Wemedoo AG, a company focused on clinical data system for research and trial management.[5][6] His early research focused on radiotherapy techniques, treatment outcomes, and analyses of oncology clinical trials. He later expanded his work into clinical trial infrastructure and informatics, focusing on the structure, interoperability, and efficiency of clinical research data systems. His research includes analyses of trial registries such as ClinicalTrials.gov and studies addressing methodological trends in oncology trials.[7]

Cihoric has participated in international professional initiatives related to radiation oncology informatics, including activities connected with the International Society for Radiation Oncology Informatics (ISROI), which addresses data standards and digital transformation in oncology.[8][9]
