Biology:Acrossocheilinae
From HandWiki
Acrossocheilinae is a subfamily of freshwater ray-finned fishes in the family Cyprinidae (carps, minnows and allies). It contains several genera which are found in Southeast Asia and China, and new species and genera are constantly being discovered. This taxon was originally proposed as a tribe (as Acrossocheilini) by Yang et al in 2015[1], but with the reclassification of the former subfamilies of Cyprinidae sensu lato into families, the status of this taxon was elevated to subfamily rank.[2]
