Aechmea nudicaulis 'Parati' is a cultivar of Aechmea nudicaulis, a species in the bromeliad family.[1]

Description

Aechmea nudicaulis is a species native to Mexico, Central America, the West Indies, Venezuela and Brazil. It contains a number of different recognized varieties. They are variable in size, forming compact green or red leaves.

"Aechmea nudicaulis and its varieties are free flowering, easy to grow beginners' plants."[2] The cultivar 'Parati' originates from the southern part of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. The wide leaves vary in color based on light exposure but are a reddish brown green with a silver lining; the inflorescence contains orange and vivid yellow bracts.[3]
