Asfaltomylos is an extinct genus of the primitive mammal subclass Australosphenida from the Jurassic of Argentina . The type and only species is Asfaltomylos patagonicus, recovered from and named after the Cañadón Asfalto Formation, Cañadón Asfalto Basin of Chubut Province, Patagonia.[2]
