Bacillus weihenstephanensis is a soil-dwelling, Gram-positive, rod-shaped, beta-hemolytic bacterium. It is differentiated by its psychrotolerant growth (that is, growth can occur at temperatures of 7 °C or lower).[1]

Pathogenesis

Strains of B. weihenstephanensis may carry genes coding for enterotoxins generally associated with Bacillus cereus.[2]
