Chrysaora (/ˈkrsˌɔːrə/) is a genus of jellyfish, commonly called the sea nettles, in the family Pelagiidae.[1] The origin of the genus name Chrysaora lies in Greek mythology with Chrysaor, brother of Pegasus and son of Poseidon and Medusa.
