Coleophora caelebipennella is a moth of the family Coleophoridae. It is found in most of Europe, except Great Britain, Ireland and the Balkan Peninsula.[1] It is also known from Pakistan .[2]
The larvae feed on Artemisia campestris, Artemisia vulgaris, Centaurea, Chrysanthemum, Gnaphalium, Helichrysum arenarium, Helichrysum italicum, Helichrysum italicum serotinum and Helichrysum stoechas. They create a two-valved, brownish black, matt, silken case with a length of 12–15 mm. The mouth angle is about 45°.[4] Larvae can be found from September to July.
