Conasprella rutila, common name the burnished cone, is a species of sea snail, a marine gastropod mollusk in the family Conidae, the cone snails and their allies.[1]
Like all species within the genus Conasprella, these cone snails are predatory and venomous. They are capable of "stinging" humans, therefore live ones should be handled carefully or not at all.
Description
The size of the shell varies between 7 mm and 14 mm.
Distribution
This marine species is endemic to Australia, and occurs off New South Wales, South Australia, Tasmania, Victoria and Western Australia.
