The Golan Heights blind mole-rat (Spalax golani) is a rodent species in the family Spalacidae. It has been found on the Golan Heights (with records from Mount Hermon, Quneitra and Eliad). This species, along with Spalax judaei and, by a different mechanism, Heterocephalus glaber, appears to be immune to cancer.[2]
