Halieutopsis bathyoreos, also known as the broad-snout deepsea batfish, is a species of fish in the family Ogcocephalidae.[1] It is found in the Pacific Ocean, specifically off the coasts of Japan , the Hawaiian Islands, and New Zealand.[2] This species reaches a length of 6.3 cm (2.5 in).[3]
Etymology
The fish is named as from a species of a deep mountain.
