Hexaprotodon sivalensis is an extinct species of hippopotamus belonging to the genus Hexaprotodon which may include today's pygmy hippopotamuses. It lived much in India starting Pliocene, died out at Pleistocene.[2] It was one of the very few Asian hippopotamuses.
