Hormurus is a genus of scorpions, commonly known as rainforest scorpions, in the family Hormuridae, that occur in rainforest habitats, mainly in Australia and Melanesia. The genus was first described by Swedish arachnologist Tamerlan Thorell in 1876.[1]
