Moelleropsis is a genus of lichenized fungi in the family Pannariaceae.[1]
The genus name of Moelleropsis is in honour of Hjalmar August Möller (1866-1941), who was a Swedish geologist, paleo-botanist (bryology) and teacher, who worked at the Nationalmuseum in Stockholm.[2]
The genus was circumscribed by Vilmos Kőfaragó-Gyelnik in Biblioth. Lichenol. vol.107 on page 82 in 2012.
