Pabia is a genus of green algae in the order Trebouxiales. (As of February 2022), AlgaeBase accepted only one species, Pabia signiensis.[1]
The genus name of Pabia is in honour of Paul A. Broady (b. 1950), a New Zealander botanist and plant collector, from the University of Canterbury in Christchurch.[2]
The genus was circumscribed by Thomas Friedl in Eur. J. Phycol. Vol.37 on page 383 in 2002.
