Phytomyza opacae is a species in the family Agromyzidae ("leaf miner flies"), in the order Diptera ("flies").[1][2][3] Its host plants are Ilex myrtifolia, Ilex cassine, Ilex opaca, and Ilex amelanchier.[4]
