Polyscias spectabilis (syn. Gastonia spectabilis) is a canopy level, or lower emergent rainforest tree native to New Guinea, belonging to the family Araliaceae.[1] Each branch blooms once with a terminal inflorescence, but then forms two widely spreading branches just beneath the inflorescence which together resemble the letter "U", giving the tree a unique appearance.[2]
