Quercus auricoma[2] is the accepted name of a tree species in the Asian sub-genus of 'ring-cupped oaks' and the family Fagaceae; there are no known subspecies.[3][4]

This oak tree grows up to 30 m. tall and has orange-brown twigs. Leaves can be as much as 120 mm long;[5][6] the acorns are "hemispherical".[7] This species has been recorded from southern China (Guangdong, Guangxi, Hunan: a.k.a. Cyclobalanopsis hui[5]) and Vietnam (in the Bạch Mã area): where it may be called sồi tóc vàng.[7]
