Reinkella is a monotypic, lichenized genus of fungi in the family Roccellaceae.[2]
The genus name of Reinkella is in honour of Johannes Reinke (1849–1931), who was a German botanist and philosopher, who is remembered for his research of benthic marine algae.[3]
The genus was circumscribed by Otto Vernon Darbishire in Bull. Herb. Boissier vol.5 on page 764 in 1897.
