The Rhodobacteraceae are a family of Pseudomonadota in the order Rhodobacterales within the alpha subgroup.[1] Like all Pseudomonadota, they are gram-negative. It contains chemoorganotrophs and photoheterotrophs bacteria. Many occur in aquatic habitats.
