Rhyzodiastes burnsi is a species of ground beetle in the subfamily Rhysodinae.[1] It was described by Charles G. Oke in 1932,[1][2][3] as Rhysodes burnsi.[4][3] It is found in New South Wales in coastal zones[4] The type locality is Mount Wilson, New South Wales.[4][2] Rhyzodiastes burnsi measure 7 mm (0.28 in) in length.[2]
This beetle is terrestrial and found on rotting wood in closed forests.[4] Both adults and larvae are burrowers and feed on fungi.[4]
