Tekella lineata is a species of Cyatholipidae spider endemic to New Zealand.[1]

Taxonomy

This species was described in 1988 by Ray Forster from male and female specimens. The holotype is stored in Otago Museum.[1]

Description

The male is recorded at 1.64mm in length whereas the female is 1.9mm. This species has a dark reddish brown carapace. The abdomen has pale markings dorsally.[1]

Distribution

This species is only known from the South Island of New Zealand.[1]

Conservation status

Under the New Zealand Threat Classification System, this species is listed as "Not Threatened".[2]
