20th Century Games (formerly known as 20th Century Fox Games) is an American video game licensor and developer that is a division of 20th Century Studios and Disney Entertainment, which is owned by The Walt Disney Company.

The label was founded in 2006 as 20th Century Fox Games following the closure of Fox Interactive.

In 2017 the label closed merged with Fox Digital Entertainment to form FoxNext.

In May 3, 2022, 20th Century Studios under The Walt Disney Company revived its game division, FoxNext (formerly 20th Century Fox Games) under the new name of 20th Century Games.

History

20th Century Fox Games was formed in 2006 and was a video game publisher and developer mainly concerned with titles based on 20th Century Fox properties, such as The Simpsons, Family Guy, Futurama, the Alien and Predator film franchises, ID4, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, The X-Files, Avatar, the Die Hard series of films and the Ice Age trilogy of films. They have also been involved with original titles, including Croc: Legend of the Gobbos, Croc 2, and No One Lives Forever. It was an American game publishing company launched in 2006. it was shut down in 2017 along with Fox Digital Entertainment to make way for FoxNext, which was shut down in 2020 due to the company’s assets being sold to Scopely.
