aMoon is a venture capital firm focused on healthcare technology with over $1 B under management.[1] The firm was founded in 2017 in Tel Aviv, Israel, and has two investment funds: aMoon Growth and aMoon Velocity.[2]

History

aMoon was co-founded in 2017 by Marius Nacht and Dr. Yair Schindel.[3][4][5] It began as a single LP-investment fund and in early 2018, transitioned to an official venture capital structure. aMoon invests through two funds: aMoon Growth, which focuses on growth and mid-late stage companies; and aMoon Velocity, which focuses on early stage companies.[6]

Overview

aMoon Growth

aMoon Growth has investors from both Israel and abroad, including a partnership with Credit Suisse and Goldman Sachs.[7] The fund invests capital into companies that are in the mid-late-stages of their development cycle or the early-stages of commercial launch.[8] In March 2019, aMoon Growth raised $660M,[9] and in July 2020, it raised another $90M, bringing the total amount of the fund to $750M.[10][11][12] In 2021, the firm began raising aMoon Growth II, completing a first closing on the fund in October 2021 with undisclosed amounts.[8]

aMoon Velocity

aMoon Velocity focuses on investing in early stage companies. The fund invests as early as pre-seed and as late as round A. aMoon Velocity closed in December 2020 after raising $114M.[13]
