AVADirect Custom Computers is an American custom computer manufacturer headquartered in Twinsburg, Ohio. AVADirect specializes in providing custom desktops, workstations, servers, and VR Solutions. These solutions are uniquely configured by the customer, allowing them to choose component models and manufacturers, and are then assembled, shipped, and supported by AVADirect.

History

Freedom USA, Inc. d/b/a AVADirect Custom Computers was founded in 2000 by CEO, Alex Sonis, to deliver on the promise of being able to configure and order a PC without compromising on component choice or options.

AVADirect claimed trademark with the United States Patent and Trademark Office on October 21, 2008,[2] to the AVA insignia used as an emblem for the company. As of 2009, AVADirect’s quality management system is certified to comply with the ISO 9001:2015 standard.[3]

Today, AVADirect has expanded its configurators to offer thousands of cases, components, and customization options that allow the customer to configure a unique custom computer.

Instabuilder

In 2020, AVADirect debuted Instabuilder, an easy PC building website tool that allows customers to receive a uniquely configured computer based on their budget, use-case, and style preferences.

Partnerships

In December 2021, AVADirect has partnered with EK Water Blocks (EKWB) to offer a line of AVADirect branded All-in-one Liquid Cooling Solutions.

AVADirect has also partnered with popular computer manufacturer, Lenovo, to offer unique Powered by Lenovo server and workstation configurations.[4]

After partnering with EVGA, AVADirect Custom Computers has sponsored fully built custom computers for their 19th[5] and 22nd-anniversary celebrations.[6]

22 Soldiers from the 1st Cavalry Division, U.S. Army executed a wide range of squad battle drills using AVADirect built systems. The Program Executive Office for Simulation, Training and Instrumentation (PEO STRI) successfully executed the first Soldier Touch Point (STP), a culmination of intense programs and software run on uniquely configured AVADirect hardware.[7]

Custom Hand-Bent Tubing

AVADirect specializes in a wide variety of hardline liquid cooled materials (such as PETG, Borosilicate Glass, Acrylic, Plastic, and more) and creating custom hardline liquid cooling installations.

Pink Foam Packaging

In 2009, AVADirect expanded shipping technologies and invested in expanding foam to ensure minimal component movement during shipping. Computers come shipped filled internally with pink foam and include an accessory box containing extra materials from the assembly. A variety of shipping options are available, including wooden crate shipped via freight.[8]

Sponsorships

AVADirect sponsored popular UFC Fighter Sean O’ Malley with a custom hardline liquid-cooled gaming PC featuring a converted water pipe as the coolant reservoir.[9]
