Artificial Solutions is a multinational technology company that develops technology for conversational AI systems.

The company was founded in 2001 and became a public company in 2019 after the reverse takeover of Indentive AB.

Artificial Solutions is listed on the Nasdaq First North stock exchange under the ticker ASAI.

Artificial Solutions is the company behind the brand Teneo.ai, which was launched in February 2023 as the primary market-facing brand for Artificial Solutions.

The launch included the introduction of a new product offering named OpenQuestion, an IVR-technology solution designed to improve the experience of customers calling contact centers.

The technology greets callers with a vocal message and offers callers the opportunity to describe their problem in open and free speech. The solution then places callers in the correct queue or answers the inquiry directly.

The company's natural language solutions have been deployed in a wide range of industries including automotive[1], telecoms [2] and retail [3].

Its customers include telecom providers such as Swisscom [4], Telefónica [5], one of the largest technology companies in the world [6] and the world's leading healthcare technology company [6].

History

Founded in Stockholm in 2001 the company created interactive web assistants using a combination of artificial intelligence and natural language processing. Artificial Solutions expanded with the development of online customer service optimization products and by 2005 it had several offices throughout Europe supporting the development and sales of its online virtual assistants.[7]

In 2008 Elbot, Artificial Solutions won the Loebner Prize[8].

In 2010, the company’s management changed, causing the company to focus the basis of its technology on Natural Language Interaction and launched the Teneo Platform, which allows people to hold humanlike, conversations with applications running on electronic devices.[9][10][11]

In 2013 Artificial Solutions launched Lyra, a mobile personal assistant that is able to operate and remember the context of the conversation across different platforms and operating systems.[12][13][14]

A new round of funding was announced in June 2013 to support expansion in the US market.[15]

Since then the company has continued to develop the Teneo Platform and patent technology in the conversational AI sector including a framework for enabling chatbots to interact easily with each other.[16]

In 2018, the company raised a total of 13.7[quantify] Euros in equity capital to help support global growth and to accelerate the expansion of Teneo.

In 2019, Artificial Solutions Holding completed the Reverse Takeover of Indentive, enabling the business of Artificial Solutions Holding to be traded on Nasdaq First North. [17]

In November 2020, Per Ottosson took over as CEO. He is based at the company's headquarter in Stockholm. [18]

In February 2023, Artificial Solutions unveiled a brand-new website and brand, Teneo.ai [19]

The new brand launch and market offering represented a move into a niche market, where global contact centers would be offered OpenQuestion, a product that could be adopted rapidly to support both customers and call agents.

OpenQuestion

OpenQuestion is a Teneo-based product that listens to users requests when they call a business for support. OpenQuestion listens to the request and routes the user to the correct agent, without the need for a caller to use the keypad to navigate through a menu.

Teneo Language Machine Learning (TLML)

The Teneo Linguistic Modeling Language (TLML) is a sophisticated, deterministic language understanding system that identifies and interprets word patterns in a caller's speech.

TLML adds an additional deterministic layer on top of NLU, LLM and machine-learning classification, enabling high precision unachievable with probabilistic models.

Designed to produce matches that trigger specific actions based on the caller's intent, TLML power-up OpenQuestion to accurately interpret spoken language and enhance contact center operations.
