BabyQuip is an American company that operates an online marketplace for baby gear rentals.[2][3][4][5]

History

The company was established in 2016 in Santa Fe, New Mexico, under the name Babierge, and was later renamed BabyQuip in the same year.[6][7][8] It was founded by Fran Maier, who had previously co-founded Match.com.[9] The company operates across multiple locations including United States, Canada, Mexico, Australia, and New Zealand, among others.[10]

In 2019, the company’s founder Fran Maier and her son Joe Maier, BabyQuip’s chief technology officer, appeared on season 11 of the television program Shark Tank.[11][12]

The company introduced a mobile application for iOS and Android in 2022.[10] By 2023, it was operating in more than 1,500 locations and reported raising US$8.5 million in funding.[13] In 2024, its reported revenue was about US$6 million.[14]
