ChannelAdvisor Corp. is an e-commerce company based in Morrisville, North Carolina.[2] The company provides cloud-based e-commerce software solutions to over 2800 customers worldwide, including Dell, Karen Kane, KitchenAid, Under Armour, Timex and Samsung. ChannelAdvisor supports hundreds of e-commerce channels worldwide and has been named the #1 leading marketplace vendor and comparison shopping provider to the Internet Retailer Top 1000. ChannelAdvisor connects its retail customers with new and existing sources of demand for their products, including e-commerce marketplaces, such as eBay, Amazon.com, Walmart.com, Jet, and Newegg, as well as digital marketing channels, such as Google, Facebook and Bing are among some of the more notable companies that ChannelAdvisor has formed partnerships with.

From 2010 to 2016, the company’s revenue increased from $36.7 million to $113.2. million. In 2016, ChannelAdvisor customers processed more than $8.1 billion in gross merchandise value.[3]

ChannelAdvisor is traded on the New York Stock Exchange under the symbol ECOM.[2]

History and operations

ChannelAdvisor was founded in 2001 by Scot Wingo and Aris Buinevicius. Today, Wingo is Executive Chairman and the Chairman of the Board at ChannelAdvisor, and after serving as Chief Technology Officer Buinevicius retired from the company on March 17, 2017.[4] Prior to launching ChannelAdvisor, Wingo and Buinevicius co-founded Stingray Software as well as AuctionRover.com, an auction search site. Auctionrover.com was acquired by GoTo.com, becoming GoTo Auctions.[5]

ChannelAdvisor filed for initial public offering on April 11, 2013 and went public on May 23, 2013.[6] ChannelAdvisor hosts an annual e-commerce industry conference called Catalyst, in both the U.S.[7] and Europe.[8]

In addition to headquarters in Morrisville, NC, ChannelAdvisor also has offices in New York City , Seattle, London, Ireland, Australia , Spain , Brazil , Germany and China .[9]

Recognition

ChannelAdvisor has been recognized as a five-time winner of the Best Place to Work award by the Triangle Business Journal.[14]

In 2011,[15] 2013[16] and 2017,[17] ChannelAdvisor was named a finalist for the Stevie Awards for Customer Service. In 2013, ChannelAdvisor was named a Silver Stevie winner for Customer Service Department of the Year in Computer Software and in 2017 it was named a Bronze winner in the same category. The award was given to honor the team’s innovation in customer satisfaction, issue resolution and overall support experience.

In 2014, ChannelAdvisor received the NCTA Best Use of Technology for E-Commerce Award for its work on providing technology to improve the online purchasing experience for customers.[18]
