Digimation is a provider of 3D digital content and 3D plug-in tools. The company, which was founded in 1992, relocated from New Orleans, Louisiana in 2009 and is headquartered in Lake Mary, Florida.
In 2002, Digimation became the exclusive licensor of Viewpoint DataLabs’s catalog of digital 3D models.
Significant works
Digimation’s models have been used in production by companies such as Electronic Arts (Need for Speed: Underground and Need for Speed: Underground 2), Cryptic Studios, and Pixel Liberation Front. Digimation's models have been featured in motion pictures including The World Is Not Enough, Pushing Tin, Star Trek: Insurrection, Independence Day, Air Force One and Godzilla.
Products
- MoCap400 - is a series of 416 motion capture images, compliant with BVH software for use with any 3D animation system. Mocan can apply real human motion to 3D animations.
Notable achievements
In 2005, Digimation was contracted by the General Services Administration (GSA) to supply 3D model content and services to U.S. military branches.[2]
Digimation has been selected for the sixth consecutive year as one of Military Training Technology magazine’s “Top training and simulation companies that have made a significant impact in the military training industry.” [3]
