EEWeb, or “EEWeb Community”, is an online media company and online community[1], hosting industry news and a forum for electrical engineers and electronics industry professionals.[2]

History

EEWeb was founded in 2007 by Cody Miller and Joe Wolin, at the time named “Aspen Labs”. In 2010, Aspen Labs partnered with Digi-Key Corporation, launching EEWeb.com as an electrical engineering community, focused on delivering electrical engineering news, a community forum, and publications of member-contributed projects. [3][4][5][6]

In 2011[7], EEWeb Pulse Magazine[8][9] was created and circulated monthly. Until 2016, along with Pulse Magazine, EEWeb published a number of reoccurring print and electronic magazines, including “Power Developer”, “Sensor Technology”, “Lightning Electronics”, and “Embedded Developer”.[10]

The current editor-in-chief of EEWeb is Maurizio Di Paolo Emilio.[11]

EEWeb also hosts a database of engineering tools for electrical engineers and electronics.[12][13] These tools include applications such as integrated circuit design, verification and analysis, a variety of inductance, impedance, or electrical current calculators, electrical power requirements calculators, and equivalence charts.
