East Asia TV was a TV channel supposedly planned for the UK.[1] It aimed to broadcast content from East Asia, initially Anime, they hoped to broadcast K-dramas soon after.[2][3][4] The plan was for it to launch on Sky in summer 2014.[5] They confirmed plans to broadcast on Freeview.[6]
History
The company was created by Ash Lawliét who born in 1992.[7] Lawliét announced that East Asia TV would cease trading on Friday 7 February and close indefinitely.[8] The company dissolved on 10 June 2015.
Nick Cooney of Japan Curiosity said that he was excited for this.[9] He was disappointed at them ceasing trading.[10]
