Endorphins Running is a sports training app designed to connect the running community.[1] Founded by Tyler Swartz, Endorphins offers personalized running plans for any distance race, free group runs across the country, performance gear, and in-app group chats and forums to connect with other runners.[2]
Endorphins was founded in 2022 by a small group of friends who came together to train for a 50-mile race. As their journey gained visibility on social media, interest in the group grew, leading to growth beyond its original members.[3] As of 2026, Endorphins has over 50,000 members worldwide, with active groups in 12 cities across the United States and plans for continued expansion.[4][5]
Training plans
Endorphins offers coach-backed training plans for a range of running levels and goals. Each plan is tailored to the specific user's pace, goals, and race date. Training plans are adjusted as the user improves, helping to optimize performance and support continued improvement. All Endorphins running plans sync with Strava, Garmin, Coros, and Apple Health.[6]
The Endorphins Running mobile app follows a freemium model – it's free to download the app and join local running groups/race chats, but accessing the personalized training plans costs a fee.
Free in-person running
Endorphins Running hosts over 1,500 free events annually, supporting a community of 50,000+ runners, both online and in person.[7] Endorphins is currently available in 12 major cities throughout the U.S., including NYC, Boston, LA, Chicago, Philadelphia, Pittsburgh, Austin, Dallas, Washington DC, Seattle, and Raleigh.[8] Each city has a dedicated lead who coordinates group runs and serves as a go-to point of contact. The company also hosts shakeout runs before major races throughout the country, bringing support and encouragement to racers. Recent 2026 pop-ups have taken place during Publix Atlanta Marathon weekend, Los Angeles Marathon weekend, and the United Airlines NYC Half.
Performance gear
Endorphins Running also offers a line of performance apparel intended for training and racing.
The product range includes items such as race crops, long-sleeve tops, hats, and city-specific merchandise.[9]
