High Stone Games is an Italian game studio that was founded in 2015, located in Treviso, Italy. The studio is responsible for the creation of Bongville a 2.5D cartoon action run'n'gun mobile game; Virulent Addiction a local multiplayer action shooting game for PC; Monster Splitter a shoot'em up mobile game end Galaxy Neon a 2D arcade browser game.

The company's products are strongly characterized by the 2D cartoon graphic style and a fast and frenetic gameplay. For all its titles HSG used Unity mainly for its versatility; a single well-built game can be deployed on many different platforms, even as web game with the right care.

History

In October 2015 Filippo Lovat, while solo developing his first videogame, asked to his neighbor and university colleague at the time, Francesco Giannuzzi, to help him with the graphics of the game. Since that day, the team was founded and many others collaborators pass through. The entire development process was carried out in the spare time of the team members, with the sole aim of developing video games.

The first title Bongville, a single player 2.5D shoot'em up, was released in 2016 but was removed from the Play Store after a while for policy problems. It took two years of development (one year in solo and another as team), and collected approximately 2K+ downloads during the two months which it remained available.

In 2018 the team started the development of their first multiplayer game: Virulent Addiction[1], for a University of Milan's annual contest called NGD (New Game Designer)[2]. The game won the first place for the category "Multiplayer Video Game" and the prize was an access to the national game event the Milan Games Week 2018[3] MGW website as Indie Team[4]. The team worked on the Virulent Addiction for an other year, and presented the completely new version of the game at the Milan Games Week of 2019[5] [6][7]as an indie action multiplayer title, game that collected many good feedbacks[8] and made many players excited after many rounds.

In the meantime, every member concluded their studies and started their own career, some in the Game Industry, others in App or Web development companies. During the pandemic of 2020 (COVID-19) the team decide to publish the title and on May 5th, 2020, Virulent Addiction was released on Steam for free Virulent Addiction Steam link .

After this decision the team start to work on a new big project: Monster Splitter, a mobile game. In June 2022 the HSG, the Game Studio, released their second mobile game Monster Splitter in Open Testing, and after 2 and an half months, on September 5th they officially released the title for Android on the Play Store link to the Game.

At the end of 2022, the Studio started the development of web game titles to make future titles to be reachable from every device. Galaxy Neon and the rebuilt Bongville as browser game are the first two titles available for free on the studio official HSG web site.
