Jawaker is an online gaming company.[1] The platform includes digitized versions of popular card and board games in the Arab region.[2][3][4] The company was named after the Arabized version of the word "jokers", referring to the joker cards in a deck.
Jawaker was founded in 2009.
History
Jawaker was founded in 2009.[5][6][7] In 2011, Abu Dhabi’s Two Four 54 took a minority stake in the company after investing $2.5 million.[8][9][10]
On September 9, 2021, it was announced that Jawaker was acquired by Sweden-based Stillfront Group for $205 million.[11][12][13]
